Civilization IV is a turn-based strategy game that's straightforward and fun, both graphically and from a game-play perspective. In it, you allocate and source resources to build your empire, and interact with other empires through trade and war. You develop the science, culture, military might, and religion of your empire, and the 'health' of your cities is determined by things like the presence of aqueducts and surplus food.
The game includes a really playable multiplayer option, which fits in surprisingly smoothly. This game is addictive because of the system of expanding empire: you always want to play god for just a few more turns.
Left 4 Dead - Game Review
Arguably the best guilt-free FPS multi-player work-together-or-die-alone game available. Fast paced zombie hordes at every corner forcing you to reload with regularity. Work thru story-line multiplayer campaigns or, if you haven't already form a team of 4 and battle each other on versus, survivors pitted again infected.
Still haven't had enough - go for gold on survival mode - we recommend the lighthouse :)
Oblivion: Elder Scrolls IV - Game Review
This is a versatile and engaging RPG. Enjoy it because it's fun and intuitive, and because it's hugely customisable -- and not just in the traditional character-building of RPGs, but also in the game play itself.
You see the game through the eyes of your own character, whom you create and modify through the game, but you can play The Elder Scrolls like a straight-up action/adventure game, or you can just take your time and explore the world in ways that are more or less peripheral to the main quest. Your character grows not so much by gaining 'experience' points from standard hack-and-slash battles, but from practising his or her skills often. Either way, you decide the pace and direction of the game.
